DescriptionA landscape view of dark rocks protruding from the desert earth in New Mexico. The boulder in the foreground has a light-colored petroglyph depicted on its side of a large, standing, two footed bird. Fading writing near the bottom of the frame reads, "Aztec carvings on lava 10 miles west of Albuquerque, New Mexico Cobb Photo 1/8/93".

Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss. The glass plate is broken at the corners.
