DescriptionThis image depicts several of the petroglyphs at Petroglyph National Monument near Albuquerque, New Mexico. These carvings have been made of a large pieces of black volcanic rock. The carving nearest the camera resembles a circular pattern with three dots in the center. The petroglyph in the background does not resemble a genuine historical petroglyph. Instead it looks like a small stick figure riding what appears to be a child's depiction of a dinosaur. Various types of weeds and desert plants can be seen sticking up between the rocks throughout the photograph. On View
