DescriptionA studio portrait of Edmund Cobb as a young adult at the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He wears a dark tuxedo with satin covered buttons, white gloves, a light-colored ribbed vest, white button-down, bowtie, and separable starched collar. His hair is short, parted to the side and combed back. He stands behind an ornately carved wooden chair. He holds the chair with both hands while looking at the camera without smiling. Edmund Cobb is the eldest of Eddie Ross Cobb and William Cobbs four children. They owned a local photography studio spanning the turn of the nineteenth century on Gold Avenue in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Edmund went to Hollywood and became an actor staring in hundreds of silent films, early Westerns and early talkies. His last film was in1966.
