DescriptionA studio photograph of the young Edmund Fessenden Cobb as a toddler at the Cobb studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is posed on a round, crescent shaped wicker seat atop a shaggy rug. He sits to the side, on top of his knees and looks over his shoulder at the camera. He wears a light-colored striped dress, has long hair and the front of his hair is pulled back away from his face. Behind him is an ornately decorated trunk-like piece of furniture. Edmund was the eldest of Eddie and William Cobb's four childrn.They owned a local photography studio spanning the turn of the nineteenth century on Gold Avenue in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate causing distortion and emulsion loss.
