DescriptionA studio portrait of Edmund F. Cobb and a dog at the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Edmund and the dog stand in center frame on a shaggy rug. Edmund is wearing a long dark-colored dress with light polka dots and a wide collar. His hair is shoulder length and the front is pulled back and secured to the top of his head. His left hand is holding onto the neck of the black dog who is standing on her hind legs. The dog has shaggy, long, floppy ears and is wearing a collar.

Edmund F. Cobb was the eldest of Eddie Ross Cobb and William Cobb's four children. They owned a local photography studio spanning the turn of the nineteenth century in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Edmund became a silent film actor in early Hollywood, known especially for his stunt work in Western films.
