DescriptionThe Albuquerque Volunteer Fire Department's Youth Hose Cart Team posing near the 100 block of West Gold Avenue and Second Street, looking South, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Daily Citizen's office and the Central Bank building are behind them. Standing in the dirt road, from left to right is Jack Hartnett, Lawrence Walsh, Bob Archer, Bob Hart, Billy Wilson, Morris Hartnett, Fidel Romero, and Joe Helwig is hidden. The children hold a series of connected ropes attached to a huge role of hose wrapped around a cart of two wooden wheeels, taller than all the children. At the lead of the ropes is a seated, spotted, multi-colored spaniel dog.Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion in image.
