Description3. The corral & stable for the livestock of the Mission! At one time several hundred head of sheep & goats, plus a few oxen, were kept here. Rooms around the corral were probably used for storage of food as well as for stables.

4. Kiva at Gran Quivira! This is the only excavated kiva here. For more than 1,000 years Pueblo Indians have built rooms of this type with special features for religious-ceremonial use.

5. A stone image found in the Kiva of the Pueblo!

6. A Fireplace Beam in the Padres quarters! The curved log held up the hood which was a wall of stone & mortar that tapered toward the celiing.

7. Rooms of the ruined village! Caroline is sitting in what was a window, & Harriet is standing on what was a bed.
