21. The most important mission in Socorro is the San Miguel Church, another monument to the faith & courage of the Spanish friars who came with of follow the Spanish explorers that discovered N.M. The priests desire to have this church as beautiful as those in Mexico & Spain, led tot heir directing the Indians in use of the rich silver deposits around Socorro.
