DescriptionPolitical campaign pin for Edwin L. Mechem (1912 New Mexico - 2002 New Mexico) (R) when he ran for New Mexico governor in 1962. The pin has a cream background and blue capitalized text with a printer's mark.

Mechem was the 15th governor (1951-1955), 17th governor (1957-1959), and 19th governor (1961-1962) of the state. He also served as Senior Judge of the US District Court for the District of New Mexico (1982-2002) and as Judge of the US District Court for the District of New Mexico (1970-1982).
