DescriptionThis circular pin features a bright blue background with bold white lettering that reads, “I’m For Robert L. THOMPSON Domestic Court JUDGE District 16.” The pin’s simple, text-focused design was typical of mid-to-late 20th-century political campaign materials. A small union mark is visible near the bottom, signifying its production by unionized labor. Robert L. Thompson successfully ran for Domestic Court Judge in District 16 and was elected in 1985 for the Domestic Court, Juvenile Court, and Civil Court Divisions, now commonly referred to as Family Court, handling cases involving family law, such as custody disputes, divorces, and child welfare. He later served as a District Court Judge in the Second Judicial District in Bernalillo County in 1994 and was retained in 2002 for another eight years. Political memorabilia such as this pin encouraged voter participation. On View
