DescriptionA retablo of Juan Diego revealing the cloak upon which the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is said to have been miraculously impressed as proof of the authenticity of the apparitions. The white cloak is wrapped around Juan Diego, with an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in its center and red roses falling from the cloak to the floor. Juan Diego has an orange and red halo and is wearing yellow sandals. He is standing on an ochre tile floor and is surrounded by two blue curtains, one on each side of the image. The frame of the retablo is carved with a swirling pattern and the top is adorned with a large yellow and red rosette outlined in blue.
