DescriptionThis is a clear circular container which holds two pieces of trinitite glass from the dropping of the first atomic bomb. The glass is rough in texture with jagged edges and no uniform shape. It is a dull green-gray color with white and tan pieces of soil within. Under the two glass pieces is a piece of tan paper, also circular, with black lettering which describe what the glass is, how it was made, and that it is from the Trinity Site near Alamogordo, New Mexico. The text also states that the pieces are slightly radioactive, but safe to handle.
