DescriptionThis three-part medal, with a circular bottom, a banner piece over the top, and a centerpiece, includes three pieces connected with links. Constructed of metal, silver, and enamel, the top part of the medal reads "16th National Irrigation Congress." Decorative detailing surrounds the top portion, "Albuquerque, New Mexico." is also illustrated within a blue stripe in the center of the top portion. The date is also pictured, reading "SEPT 1908" in large lettering. The bottom circular part of the medal encompasses two people, one providing the other one with water with trees and mountains illustrated in the background. Framing the circular part is a bright red contour with foliage on the outer part. The 16th National Congress held in Albuquerque brought along changes in water management, infrastructure, and agricultural development in New Mexico.On View
