DescriptionThis is an oak table top paymaster's desk made by the McCaskey Register Co., featuring a detachable account file register. It is constructed from dark-stained wood and glass. A glass pane sits atop the writing surface and can be lifted to allow documents to be placed underneath for easy reference or display. At the top of the main face, a line of text in gold cursive reads, “The McCaskey Register Co., Alliance, Ohio, U.S.A.”
