DescriptionThis Egry Automatic Post Binder, manufactured by The Egry Register Company, is a hardcover ledger-style binder designed for organizing business records. The cover is wrapped in dark fabric, while the interior features a faded blue lining with visible water stains and wear. A printed label on the inside cover displays the company's logo along with the text in red: “Egry Automatic Post Binder, Style H, Number 950.” Below, instructions read: “When ordering, please mention the style and number.” The label also includes the slogan: “Use Egry Register in your business for better business—it's a fact.” A sturdy metal binder behind the ledger features two thin vertical holders. Post binders like this were commonly used in offices and businesses to store financial records, invoices, and ledgers, reflecting the shift toward standardized record-keeping in the early 20th century.
