DescriptionAn aerial view of Sky City in Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico. The pueblo is atop the large mesa. The church and pueblo buildings, and plaza are visible. There are rock formations in the background. A caption taped to the front of the photograph reads, "Strangest Indian Pueblo is Acoma, built on a rock 400 feet above the plain."A typed caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Aerial view of Acoma (The Sky City). Said to be the oldest continuously occupied village in the United States. Remains much the same as when discovered in 1540 by Captain Hernando de Alvarado of Coronado's army."
