DescriptionSeven trout are laid out on the grass along with two fishing poles and a creel (wicker basket). A typed caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Many small ponds, stocked with trout, are to be found in the mountain country of northern New Mexico. Busy beavers work constantly to dam up the water from small spring-fed streams. These small lakes are usually found in groups and make excellent fishing for hardy anglers who desire to get off the beaten trail."
