DescriptionThis campaign button was produced for Albert Cobo's unsuccessful 1956 bid for governor of Michigan. Cobo served as Detroit's mayor for three terms where he was criticized for urban renewal projects that erased Black neighborhoods, police targeting Black communities, and supporting segregation. The button is mostly blue with white text. Text reads "LET'S/GO/COBO."On View
