DescriptionThis campaign button was produced for Gene Lusk's 1966 bid for governor of New Mexico. Lusk ran as a Democrat with runningmate Ruben Chavez. Lusk lost the election to incumbent David Cargo. The button is mostly yellow with silver and red detailing throughout. There is a red image of a donkey, a symbol of the Democratic Party, with text surrounding. Text reads "LUSK-CHAVEZ/GO GO/Vote Democrat."
