DescriptionThis image depicts Playland Amusement Center on West Central Avenue in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Three boys can be seen in the foreground walking towards the chain link fence surrounding the Amusement Center. The fence is topped with barbed wire. Behind the fence a miniature railroad, a Merry-Go-Round, a large Ferris wheel, and a large airplane like structure can all be seen. Several tall light poles can be seen throughout the area. A large sign over the gate in the fence reads "Playland". The sign has a row of electric bulbs along the top edge. The ground in this photograph is made of hard packed dirt.
