DescriptionThe exterior of the Solon E. Rose & Brothers Hardware Store located at 120 West Gold Avenue in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The store is located in a two-story brick building with a decorative face, particularly on the top molding and around the second story windows. At the top of the building is a stone decorative sign reading, "HARDWARE." Between the second-floor windows and the first-floor storefront windows are two more signs, "HARDWARE," and "120 SOLON E. ROSE & BRO. 120." There is a large courtyard-like ally between the hardware store and the next shop. The space between is filled with lumber, wagons, and various scraps. A series of sign are hung above the lot reading, "FISH BRO'S. WAGONS," "Washburn & Moen 4 Point BARB Wire," "GANTON... PLOWS...," "GAS FITTING," and "PUMPS." Men in slack suits, horse-drawn wagons, and bicycles fill the wood plank boardwalk and dirt road outside the shops.

Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
