DescriptionA family sit in an open-top carriage hitched to a horse in front of the Singer Manufacturing Company at 208 West Gold Avenue in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The building is a two-story brick and stone building with a painted advertisement for a hotel, "EUROPEAN PLAN." on the side. The street is dirt but the sidewalk is cement block. Two women, a man, and two small children are in the carriage and all of them are looking toward the camera. A wooden sidewalk leads to a small building in the background. The women wear decorated high-crown hats, the children sailor and newsboy style caps, and the man a bowler hat.

Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
