DescriptionA man sits in a carriage with a large fluffy dog on his lap. The carriage is hitched to a two-horse team while a young girl stands beside a tricycle. Both the carriage and the tricycle are in the yard of a two-story brick house with a peaked open-gable roof and a covered wrap-around porch. There is a utility pole in the yard near the right of the frame. Other houses and the foothills east of Albuquerque, New Mexico, are in the background. The man wears a three-piece suit and coat with a satin top hat and gloves. The girl is dressed in a double-breasted peacoat, dress, and has a small tight fighting cap on the crown of her head.

Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating loss.
