DescriptionA woman and child stand in front of a small, single-story adobe house in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There is a second single-story adobe building with a wooden lean-to in the background. The yard surrounding the homes are dirt. The small boy wears weathered overalls with a rounded collared shirt beneath. The woman wears a wool princess line dress with puffed gigot shoulders on long sleeves. The neckline is high on her neck and she wears an oval brooch at the center. On her head is a straw hat with a cone shaped crown. There is a water spicate outside their home.

Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
