DescriptionThe New Mexico Territorial Fair Parade going past R.P. Fox Planing Mill located at 305 West Gold Avenue in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A line of horse-drawn floats decorated with American flags and bunting travel down the road. Children and an adult dressed as a clown walk in the street with the floats. The street is dirt with adobe buildings and a wooden boardwalk lining it with pedestrians gathered throughout. There are electric wires above. The photograph is captured from a high vantage point and mesas can be seen in the distant horizon beyond the city limits. The closest float to the camera is for S.W. Brewing Co. [Southwest Brewing Company] It is decorated with a canopy and draping banners. On top of the canopy sits a man dressed like a king or prince. He wears a paper crown, a toga-like wrap, and sits on a keg with a beer glass in his hand. The float below him is lined with kegs.
Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate causing distortion and emulsion loss.
