DescriptionA group portrait of four babies and children at the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Eddie Ross Cobb is in the far left of the image smiling and crouching low, holding the infant, Susan Cobb Beyer, from falling over. Susan smiles toothlessly. Beside her is Sim Miles (son of Fannie Ross Miles and William Miles), then Clyde Ross (son of Arthur and May Ross), and Edmund F. Cobb on the far right. All four children and babies wear dresses, Susan and Sim in simple white dresses, and Clyde and Edmund in floral patterned dark dresses. Edmund's hair is curled and parted to the side and holds a toy in his hands. They are propped on a bench, seated side-by-side.Edmund and Susan were the eldest of Eddie and William Cobb's four children. They owned a local photography studio spanning the turn of the nineteenth century on Gold Avenue in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate causing distortion and emulsion loss.
