DescriptionPortrait of Elias Stover, the first President of the University of New Mexico, in front of a hand-painted backdrop seated in Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has gray hair, a bushy beard and mustache. He wears a three-piece single-breasted suit, starched white collar and bowtie, and has pins attached to his vest and suit jacket. The circular pin on the vest has an American flag on it. He is facing the camera.Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate causing emulsion loss.
