DescriptionLillian Ross Leis poses at the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is seated in front of a blank backdrop. She is wrapped in a dark colored clock with a thick appliqué trim. The top has a pleated skirt ruffle around the shoulders with a collar continuing up the neck. A rope and tassel assembly fastens the clock around the neck. She wears a small, high-crown hat only covering the top of the head which has a vail attached, pulled down over her face. Her hair is curled and pulled back. She looks at the camera and does not smile.

Lillian Ross Leis is the oldest child of Territorial Governor Edmund G. Ross and Fanny M. Lathrop Ross.
