DescriptionThis box contains a collection of printed dance order cards, used for organizing dance partners at formal events. Each cream-colored card features a folded booklet design with a decorative front cover. The cover includes a colorful printed illustration of a rural scene with a blossoming tree, a white farmhouse, and a fenced-in yard. The words “Dance Order” appear in an elegant script below the image. Inside, the cards are pre-printed with a numbered list from 1 to 12, allowing attendees to record their dance partners for each song. Dance cards were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly at formal balls and social gatherings. On View
