DescriptionA blue and white postcard promoting the El Fidel Hotel at 113 North Fifth Street in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The hotel is drawn with six stories and the "El Fidel Hotel" marquee sign is attached to the front corner of the building. Crowds of pedestrians and cars are surrounding the ground floor. Promotions are advertised on the front of the card: "Now 2 guests for 1 price. Save the price of one guest by stopping at El Fidel. Rates $1.50-$3.00, one or two persons. No charge for children unless extra bed required. Come as you are. Free Parking. On US Highways 85 and 66 in the heart of the scenic Southwest. El Fidel Hotel, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Largest in the state. Dine & dance at beautiful La Sala Grande. No cover charge except Saturday. Famous bar & cocktail lounge. Coffee shop serving wholesome food at very moderate prices. Beauty salon. Barber Shop. Valet Shop." A note on the back of the postcard from the manager reads, "Dear Friend: Our new price plan is going over with a bang.
