DescriptionA mixed-media sculpture composed of indistinct, industrial forms. The bottom of the sculpture is black and resembles a stepladder with a long rectangular platform extending outwards, opposite the lowest step. The sculpture rests on five legs, four beneath the stepladder and one at the end of the rectangular platform. A triangular prism formed from panes of translucent frosted acrylic joined by a wood frame rests on the platform. The steps of the stepladder are embossed with the words "SLIM" and "SHADOW." A tall black pole which tapers upwards, extending out of a donut-shaped ring, sits on the top of the stepladder. Another ring rests in the middle of the pole. A short dowel attached to a capital "L"-shaped wooden appendage with a diagonal corner brace extends outward from this ring, parallel to the triangular prism. A black form resembling a rounded oil can with a curved neck, a flared opening, and two handles hangs off a metal S-hook attached to an eye hook at the end of the wooden appendage. An arched rectangular form sits at the top of the pole. Seven wedges poke into the sides of the arched rectangle. A circular area at the top of the arched rectangle features a painted red square surrounded by frantic yellow marks which extend outwards. On View
