DescriptionPossibly a workshop piece; zig-zag field with side borders of serrated diamonds and end borders of stripes. The zigzag elements are larger versions of the minute vertical zigzags seen in the vertical background designs of classic Saltillo weavings. The border design is complex, with diamonds and hourglass figures that appear to pop out or recede as the eye moves across them.
