DescriptionThis object is a pair of long-shanked forceps with Allis-type pinching jaws. The jaws have small, interlocking teeth to securely hold tissue during a surgical operation. A locking ratchet is located at the base of the ring handles, with one of the handles having a small opening towards the jaws. A box hinge is located towards the center of the object. "GERMANY" is stamped on one of the shanks next to the hinge. On the inverse side, "storz" and "Stainless" are stamped on the shanks near the hinge. "DR. ROBERTS" has been carved onto the side of the hinge on this side of the object. There is very little to no visible corrosion aside from some minor scratches across the surface.
