DescriptionThis small, cylindrical inkwell is made of clear glass with a central reservoir for holding ink. The design features a slightly flared base for stability and a circular opening at the top, allowing easy access for dipping a pen. The transparency of the glass would have helped users monitor the ink level. Dating to the early to mid-20th century, inkwells like this one were commonly used in offices, schools, and homes before the widespread adoption of ballpoint pens.
