DescriptionThis is a small, circular portable inkwell with a leather-wrapped exterior and two brass lid. A small glass ink jar is included. The two lids are attached with hinges located on the top of the body of the object. The smaller, bowl-shaped circular lid is made to cover only an open jar of ink inserted into the inkwell such as the one included in the object, and is black on the bottom from previous use. "K K A PRIV" is inscribed into the top of this lid, along with a double-headed eagle. The larger lid acts as an additional cap and covers the entirety of the ink jar and its associated smaller lid, further reducing the chances of ink spilling out. The interior of the brass lids have mild stains but very little tarnish, while the exterior has much more noticeable corrosion. The leather wrap located on the bottom half of the object is moderately corroded and peeling off at the bottom. On View
