DescriptionThis object is a thin, cylindrical dissector with an elongated, circular blade used to make precise cuts during tonsillectomies. The blade is attached to the handle through a narrow stem. The handle itself is filled entirely with decorative carvings that wrap around its length. An additional stem protrudes from the opposite end of the handle from the blade. Moderate levels of corrosion are visible within the carved design on the handle and around the bottom stem of the object.
