DescriptionThis boxed art instruction set is titled "White’s New Course in Art Instruction / Drawing Models – First Year / Individual Set," produced by the American Book Company. The set includes a variety of wooden geometric solids, such as a cube, pyramid, cylinder, half-cylinder, and hemisphere, as well as red wooden sticks. The pieces are housed in a rectangular, olive-green cardboard box with black printed text detailing the contents: “SOLIDS, STICKS, FORM TABLETS, COLOR TABLETS.” This set reflects early 20th-century educational methods emphasizing geometric forms to teach perspective, proportion, and shading in drawing. Instructional kits like this were commonly used in elementary school art programs across the United States.
