DescriptionA vial of twelve halazone tablets, which are used to purify water. The vial was included in an official Boy Scouts of America first-aid kit. It has a screw-top lid. On the label attached to the vial, it says, "Halazone - 12 tablets (ABBOTT) for sterilizing contaminated drinking water. Distributed by Bauer & Black, Division of the Kendall Company/Chicago, New York, Toronto/Made in U.S.A./Use one tablet for each pint of water, or two if there is suspicion of unusual pollution. Avoid water known to be heavily polluted. Dissolve tablet thoroughly, shaking water from time to time and allow to stand thirty minutes before using.
