DescriptionThis ceramic mug encompasses a cylindrical shape and includes a thin gold lining around its upper opening, showcasing erased and chipped segments likely due to aging and usage over time. Remnants of a handle that is broken off are visible on one side. The exterior surface of the cup includes a light blue gradient at the top, representing the sky in the illustration of a snowy, outdoor scene. The faces of angels or cherubs, along with a shooting star, are visible in the sky. Several leafless trees are visible in the background, apart from a few green fir trees in the foreground. What appears to be a church or other parish is visible in the foreground, while a smaller, house-like structure is visible in the background of the scene. A gate encloses both the church structure and the house in the distance. A woman, likely representing the Virgin Mary, holds the string to a sleigh with one arm, while the other carries what is perhaps a candle, and a gold halo sits on her head. "Merry Christmas" is written below the winter scene in blackface lettering.
