She is wearing a short-sleeved corseted top with a tulle skirt. There is a fur rug on the floor, and she is wearing ballet shoes. A bouquet of flowers is at her feet. She rests her hands on her hips and looks toward the left side of the frame. Her dark hair is styled on top of her head with a floral hairpiece.
Handwriting on the back of the photograph reads, "H.P.C. Cushing 1885".
