DescriptionA polychrome jar with a painted design. The jar widens from the bottom toward the top, before tapering toward the opening. The sides of the jar depict three dancers, painted in a realistic style, alongside geometric motifs. One dancer leans forward, balancing on two short white poles. He wears a white deer head with antlers, feathers on his head and hips, and bells on his legs. The second dancer bends forward with his arms down and one knee raised. He wears headware with curved horns, round eyes, and feathers, a short tail, and bells on his legs. The final dancer stands with one leg raised behind him, his arms bent, and holding an arrow. His face is painted with red horizontal stripes, and he wears plumed headware, a orange belt with a red loincloth, and bells on his legs. The figures are separated by a repeated geometric design composed of four stacked, downward pointing black arrows with white vertical stripes. On View
