DescriptionThis object is a long, stainless steel probe comprised of an operating end and a handle. The operating end is a long, cylindrical probe with corkscrew texturing at the tip. The operating end gradually widens towards the middle of the object to join the handle, which is perforated to enhance grip. Mild discoloration is visible across the object, and some tarnish is visible within the grooves on the tip. The wire is slightly bent and warped. Object was likely used to move and manipulate smaller, finer tissues during surgery.
