DescriptionThis portion of a harness, known as a hames, is a tool attached to an animal harness to balance pulling force when carrying heavy loads. The two parts of the hames include a foundational, curved, wooden base with various metal loops attached through a flat metal piece, contouring the wood, secured by visible nails. The third piece appears to be broken off due to one side of the wood being ragged and uneven, while the other encompasses a metal portion. On View
