DescriptionStudents walk out of a public school building in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The students are walking along the paved sidewalks and running across the grass lawns. Many are carrying notebooks and books in their arms. There is a row of cars parked along the right of the frame. The school building is a single-story, flat-roofed building with large plate glass windows across the front. Girls are wearing knee-length skirts, some with crinolines, and light jackets or sweater cardigans. The boys are wearing blue jeans and plaid shirts with light jackets. The students are walking toward the camera. A caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Los Alamos boasts one of the finest school systems in the state. Special services of the school system include remedial reading classes and speech therapy at both elementary and high school levels."On View
