DescriptionA bird's eye view of Los Alamos, New Mexico. The housing area is to the left and is connected by a bridge to the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory. There are pine trees surrounding the area in the Jemez Mountains. A typed caption on the back of the photograph reads, "Connected by one of New Mexico's highest bridges, the widely-sprawling buildings of Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory occupy a forested tableland separated from the community (at left) by a deep canyon. Hills in distance border the Rio Grande."
