DescriptionA high school graduation portrait of Daphne M. Cobb at the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She wears a light-colored dress with a large satin bow at the base of the V-shaped neckline with buttons down the pleated bodice. The collar extends into a flap behind the back and the shirtwaist ensemble has a high waistline. Her hair is parted down the center, finger curled, and pulled back into braided bun. She holds a rolled diploma held with a satin bow in each hand. She stands on a rug in front of a painted back drop. She looks at the camera and smiles faintly.

Daphne Cobb was the third of Eddie Ross Cobb and William Cobb's four children. They owned a local photography studio spanning the turn of the nineteenth century on Gold Avenue in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Daphne graduated from Albuquerque High and never married. She died at the age of 29 of tuberculosis. Daphne was also a grand-daughter of the Governor Edmund G. Ross.
