DescriptionPortrait of a young girl, Daphne Cobb (the youngest of the Cobb photography studio's four children), wearing a white ballerina dress with a wide tulle tutu. She is seated on a wooden chair in Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is changing shoes between black, pointed leather shoes and white satin shoes with a bow and point, with one black shoe on her right foot, and she is putting a white shoe on her left foot. One black shoe and one white shoe are lying on the wooden floor in front of the chair. The young girl has dark curled hair that is styled around her face, parted down the center. There is a small horizontal brooch attached to the base of the dress's neckline, a ring on her left hand, and she wears a small heart shaped necklace. A curtain is behind her.Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
