Description14. Another interesting sight in Santa Fe is the Scottish Rite Temple, a replica of a part of The Alhambra.

15. Built by Indians more than 800 years ago, the Oldest House in the U.S. is also in Santa Fe. The lower walls of the original construction was of puddled adobe; ceilings of these rooms show that the original entrances were through the roofs, in the Indian manner. Tree-ring dating indicates that a large part of the house in contemporary with the main part of the Mission next door.

16. The San Miguel, oldest mission church in the U.S. is a National Historic Landmark. In the [chapel] is Santa Fe's oldest altar screen, dated 1798.
