Description11. N.M. jewelry makers are famous throughout the world for the great artistry of their work. Silversmithing is generally associated with the Navajos.

12. This picture & the next two are of the Hopi Indians & their crafts. Theri Katchina Dolls are wooden figurines, carved & decorated to represent supernatural beings.

13. Besides their small herds of sheep and farm crops, the Hopis earn additional income from their basketry.

14. Pieces of pottery made by the Hopis! The pottery work of N.M. Indians is not only beautiful & distinctive but unique, in that it is fashioned without the aid of a potters wheel.
