DescriptionThe image depicts Kiwanis Cabin located on the crest of the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque, New Mexico. The small structure is made of stones and has one barred window facing the camera. On the roof of the cabin, a small wire fence-like structure can be seen. The pathway in front of the cabin is made up of stony ground spotted with weeds. The building is situated on the edge of a cliff on the Sandia Mountains overlooking the rest of the mountain range. To the left of the cabin an individual has been photographed mid-step and appears to be going behind the other side of the structure. To the left of this individual, two wind-blown trees stand side-by-side. The branches and leaves on the trees appear to have been blown to the left.

"Dear Grandma, just saying 'hello' and to let you known I am well, and I hope you are the same. I got my first pay to-day, and it sure comes in handy. Hope you are still getting along alright. Will write you tomorrow again. Love Lewis".
